I'm finally home after spending a week in the Bay Area  for a conference (MLA). The trip had ups and downs. I got a lot of work done and my talk went very well; and I saw many of my close friends. I got to spend a wonderful evening with Eve, shweta_narayan , and elsmi , to whom I showed off my contributor's copy of Mythic Delirium 19!

Not going to discuss the downs of the trip, but let's say that I wasn't happy to leave  and  was very happy indeed to return home. And at home, a pile of packages was waiting for me!!

I got:

A Hanukkah card from norilana !
A copy of “A Winter Solstice Ritual from the Pacific Northwest" signed by Vonda McIntyre and Ursula Le Guin, from vondanmcintyre 

and from a little bit earlier:

a wonderful sage candle from shweta_narayan 
a FULL REQUEST (from the few queries i sent out in September)

Never again will I complain that I never get presents.

Yay for everything, but I'm glad you got the calendar. Most of the pictures were ones I took, though Rick took a few. (My mother had her own pictures and made a calendar herself.)

I suppose it says much about me that I zeroed in on "lavender cookies" and "FULL REQUEST." Such a lucky lady you are! Enjoy your presents and good luck on the manuscript request!
