I realize this is not a community for design wankery, but nevertheless I cannot quite resist. Today I received those four Aalto-like stacking chairs I bought for cheap on Ebay, and I am very, very happy with them. Even though they are not quite Aalto, they are vintage, European, and - unlike the original Aalto chairs they are padded, which is quite fortunate for the tush.

We still need some big furniture items which we cannot afford now... Oh, the woes of moving into a House after having lived in miniscule rental apartments with the bare minimum of scavenged furniture. But this home is beautiful, and almost orderly - except for the heaps of toys everywhere! It deserves only good things, I am telling myself, and hence the Midcentury furniture collection is slowly coming together.

This community is for whatever strikes your fancy, Rose!
The trick is, buy bean bags or giant pillows for every piece of furniture that is missing. Trade them out one by one when you can afford them.

As for bean bags, alas, they can't solve my storage problem, also known as no dressers or nightstands and very little closet space... :) I also need another sofa but will hold out until I find something I love and can afford :D
